The name of Jesus is so sweet,
I love its music to repeat;
It makes my joys full and complete,
The precious name of Jesus.
I love its music to repeat;
It makes my joys full and complete,
The precious name of Jesus.
Jesus! oh, how sweet the name,
Jesus! every day the same;
Jesus! let all saints proclaim
Its worthy praise forever.
Jesus! every day the same;
Jesus! let all saints proclaim
Its worthy praise forever.

I love the name of Him whose heart
Knows all my griefs and bears a part;
Who bids all anxious fears depart,
I love the name of Jesus.
Knows all my griefs and bears a part;
Who bids all anxious fears depart,
I love the name of Jesus.
3
That name I fondly love to hear,
It never fails my heart to cheer,
Its music dries the falling tear;
Exalt the name of Jesus.
It never fails my heart to cheer,
Its music dries the falling tear;
Exalt the name of Jesus.
4
No word of man can ever tell
How sweet the name I love so well,
Oh, let its praises ever swell,
Oh, praise the name of Jesus.
How sweet the name I love so well,
Oh, let its praises ever swell,
Oh, praise the name of Jesus.

Thinking about my life ups and downs, ins and outs, trouble on every side, etc. And am just reminded of this song. The name of Jesus is so sweet. And I stayed singing. There's Power in the name of Jesus it can break every chain, demons flee at the name of Jesus. I love the name of him whose hearts knows all my griefs and bears apart, who bids all anxious fears depart, I love the name of Jesus.

Yes and yes!!! I heard someone sing this hymn many years ago, it’s words will always hold true for me. Wherever, whenever and however I feel; no matter the situation JESUS NEVER FAILS. I’m learning to trust, believe and obey. Seeking GOD’S Will through HIS WORD for knowledge and direction. In all my life HE’S never disappointed me.

I first heard this beautiful simple song 65 years ago as a young Christian. It meant so much to me at the time! Some of it has stayed with me over the years. AND THE NAME OF JESUS IS STILL VERY SWEET! Am preaching on “There is no other name given under heaven among men, whereby we must be saved. ” Acts 4:12.
