This is the most famous hymn written by Frances Havergal. She was a gifted poet and hymnist. She lived a life plagued by ill health and only lived to 42 years old. This hymn always brings me to the Lord and a humble restating of my consecration. I realize that He doesn’t want my things but my heart. “Take myself and I will be, ever only all for thee”. If I “let Him” He will take my heart little by little. ❤️

Reading John 13 this morning and this song came to mind. Had to look it up as I couldn’t remember all the words and, like I read in so many of the comments, they are so true and so humbling. Singing them just fills my heart with joy and love for the Lord Jesus Christ and what He’s done for me. Glory to God!

Spending time with Jesus this morning and this hymn came to mind. I wanted to sing it but couldn't remember all of the verses. Found this and praised the Lord as I sang every single one.
