Blessed are those who wash their robes
That they might have right to the tree of life.
Blessed are those who wash their robes
That they might have right to the tree of life.
That they might have right to the tree of life.
Blessed are those who wash their robes
That they might have right to the tree of life.

And may enter, and may enter, and may enter by the gates
And may enter, and may enter, and may enter by the gates
Into the city, blessed are those.
And may enter, and may enter, and may enter by the gates
Into the city, blessed are those.

I am the Alpha and the Omega,
The First and the Last,
The First and the Last.
The Beginning and the End,
Blessed are those who wash their robes,
Blessed are those who wash their robes,
Wash their robes!
The First and the Last,
The First and the Last.
The Beginning and the End,
Blessed are those who wash their robes,
Blessed are those who wash their robes,
Wash their robes!
(Repeat 1 and 2)

Partaking of the tree of life fulfills God's eternal purpose based on His good pleasure; but I am so glad God does not operate according to pleasure... but according to right. For example, the physical universe was created to operate according to laws; which God Himself does not violate on a whim out of His pleasure.
Man was created with a free will to partake of God's life, and our highest motivation to partake of His life is righteousness, not pleasure. We partake because it is right that God would have His eternal purpose (regardless of our benefit). It is right that Christ as God's righteousness and now our righteousness through redemption should be expressed and exalted forever!!
